To make your stay at Peek House as trouble free as possible here are some guidelines to facilities and equipment – please ask if you have any queries. Please remember that you are staying on a private residential estate with permanent residents – being respectful of privacy and aware of noise levels will be appreciated.
Peek House is a No Smoking area – we ask that smokers please use the garden as the house is wired with smoke alarms.

Heating System - Peek House has oil fired central heating and hot water which is set on a preset programme and water on an automatic timer.

Solid Fuel Stove – The sitting room is fitted with a large Clearview stove which takes both logs and smokeless coal – anything ending in ‘ite’ is suitable for burning in this stove. Always start your fire with kindling and keep both vents open at the front until flames are established – always keep the right hand vent slightly open to keep the glass clear.

Sky TV with High Definition is available in the sitting room and provides the top level of viewing including all sports and film channels – please do not try to order box office movies through the control set.

Alarm – the house is fitted with a burglar alarm which is used only when the house is empty – please do not alter the controls.

Laundry – there is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the basement laundry, together with ironing board and iron. The tumble dryer is a condensation model so please empty the water container after every cycle.

BBQ – a BBQ is provided in the garden – please ask for instruction if necessary and make sure it is left clean and covered after use. Please use paper/plastic plates in the garden at all times.

At the end of your stay – please leave the house clean and tidy and do tell us of any breakages or damage prior to leaving. All linen and towels are changed each week – but if you require extra supplies please let us know.
